Why Spoilerlights burn out and begin to malfunction?

We are often asked why Spoilerlights burn out and begin to malfunction.  There are numerous reasons, but the primary reasons are listed below. There are three primary reasons why Spoilerlights fail: Spoilerlights have a lifespan of approximately 10 years or 10,000 light hours.  The majority of our customers contact us for spoiler light replacements when their vehicles are approximately 10 years old or older.  This is generally the lifespan of most spoilerlights.  Some burn out earlier which we will explain in further detail below.  If your is 10 years old or older, you are most likely due for a new spoiler light replacement. My Spoiler Light won’t Light Up! What do I do?

We are very sorry to hear your having problems with the light you ordered from us. If it is defective, we will replace it no problem. However, first we need to test it. Please do the following: Take a 9 volt battery. Press the red exposed wire end to the plus side of the battery and hold. (+) Simultaneously press the black exposed wire end to the negative side of the batter and hold (-). If the light is working properly, it should light up. If it does not light up, it is defective.
