The following photos are of a 9.75″ 2 Hole, Hexagon shaped third brake light that was commonly found on truck caps and RVs. Unfortunately this light has been discontinued and is no longer in production. However there is a newer generation light that is the same shape and size of the original light and can be used as an alternative. We have had numerous customers order this light and use it as an alternative to the original light.
The newer generation light is a very high quality light manufactured under ISO-9001 specifications and high quality materials. Our newer generation Hexagon Third Brake Light measures approximately 9.75 inches in length. It has a hexagon shape to the lens. This light is designed to be mounted from the front of a surface at approximately 15 to 25 degrees with the use of 3M tape. This light is commonly found on trucks, campers, tonneau covers, truck caps, and trailers.
Fitment
The old generation light was mounted with two screws from the front of the light. The newer generation light mounts differently. It cam be mounted in two ways. The most common way it is mounted is with 3M tape around the edges of the light where it secures to the mounting hole. The second way this light can be mounted is with screws, reverse threaded from the back of the application. In cases where the light can be accessed from the inside of the truck camper, this mounting method works well. This light comes with a case for mounting the light.
