This is NOT the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) Spoiler Light for the Factory Nissan Maxima Spoiler. It is an ALTERNATIVE Spoiler Light we have tested to fit the Factory Nissan Maxima Spoiler. The main difference between the original light and our alternative is our light is mounted with 3M Super Strength Tape, whereas the original OEM light is mounted with 3 Screw Tabs.
If you are looking for the OEM factory light it is ONLY available through Nissan at a cost of approximately $250.00-$400.00.
The Spoilerlight advertised here is an alternative spoiler light we have tested to fit the Factory spoiler for the 1995-1999 Nissan Maxima. Our light is very similar to the original Nissan/Infiniti Spoiler Light. The major difference between the two lights is the original OEM light is mounted with 3 screw tabs, and our light is mounted with 3M Super Strength Tape (Provided).
Differences Between the Original Spoiler Light & Our Alternative
Our light is slightly shorter in length by approximately 0.125″. The original OEM Spoiler light measures approximately 15.75″ in length, where our light measures approximately 15.625. The shape of our alternative is almost identical. Since our light is a little shorter, it leaves approximately a 0.5″ gap on either end of the spoiler light opening. The gaps are very minor and are not noticeable. However, if you are super anal about any differences, it may bother you.

The only other major difference in our light from the original is our light is mounted with 3M Super Strength Tape (Provided). Many different spoiler lights, emblems, fender flares, and other automotive accessories are commonly mounted with 3M Super Strength Tape. It is very strong and will not come loose if installed properly. In fact, it is often very difficult to remove as it is a very strong adhesive.

Listed below are photos of the removal and installation process of the Nissan/Infiniti Alternative Spoiler Light. The first half of the photos in the gallery are of the original OEM Nissan/Infiniti spoiler light. You will notice as the photos progress, we remove the original spoiler light and install our alternative spoiler light. In addition to the photos, each photo has a description of the photo and information regarding the installation process.
We do not provide step by step instructions for the removal and installation of this spoiler light as there are slight differences between vehicles, spoilers, and wiring. The original OEM spoiler light (pictured) is often found on two post and three post spoilers for Nissan and Infiniti vehicles. Vehicles with the three post version will need to remove their spoiler to access the light and install our alternative spoiler light®.
