This product is a cover plate designed to fit under the bottom of our 15.5" Center Wire Thin Spoiler Light (4 Tabs) and our 15.5" Quarter Round Red Spoiler Light (4 Tabs). The cover plate is meant to protect your spoiler light from the enviornmental elements and provides a sleak and refined look when mounted under the light on the spoiler. This product is not required with the previously mentioned products. However, we recommend the cover plate be used because it will help extend the life of your spoiler light. Using a coverplate helps prevent a weakening of the sealed epoxy lens that occurs over time due to exposure to the elements. Small cracks begin to appear on the lens as the light ages which leads to condensation inside the lens. Over time, the electrical components inside of the lens become damaged due to exposure to water.
